It's Giova's birthday, a young man confined to a wheelchair. Lele, a very close friend of his, goes to pick him up from the care home where he lives to take him out to celebrate. Through the anonymous streets of sleepy towns, the two first reach the stand of a food truck they know very well. Then comes the moment for Giova's gift: a bit of fun with Lalla, a longtime sex worker well known to the boys. Unfortunately, the tension and Giova's precarious health don't allow him to enjoy the "gift." Lele, saddened by his friend's struggles, starts to take him home; but on top of that, his car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. And yet, when both of them seem to have lost all hope, or maybe precisely because of that, a spark of friendship and empathy reignites.
